Am I Really Thinking About Spring Already?

So everyone, the holidays are about over! After New Years, it's back to reality. Am I the only one who's excited?! I really can't wait for spring. It's my absolute favorite season. I can't wait to start wearing pastels and florals.

I bought an iPad yesterday. Yes, I gave in. Since then, I've been addicted to the style.com app. I've been nonstop looking at spring runways. So far, my favorite is the Chanel spring collection. The cropped jackets are adorable and look so fresh! Plus, you can never wear enough pearls.

Well, I hope everyone has a fantastic (and safe) New Years Eve! I'll definitely try to put up a New Years Eve outfit post. I'll talk to you all very soon!

XOXO

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you’re all having a fabulous day and getting everything you hoped for. I finally got the Clarisonic and my Teavana maker :) I can’t wait to use both! I’m so excited to dig into all of my gifts. I’m definitely hitting the mall tomorrow to take advantage of after-Christmas sales. Well, I’m going to go enjoy my day with my family. You guys do the same!

It’s been a while..

Boy, oh, boy has it been a while since I’ve posted here. Since school has started this year, I’ve been so busy and caught up with other things that I’ve really neglected this blog. I really want to start posting more things when I get time.

If you follow me on Instagram, which is where I’ve mainly been posting, you can see what I’ve been up to. I keep my Instagram updated more than anything else, so if you’re interested you can follow me there @parkaveglam. I was thinking of making a Keek, which is a phone app where people post short videos. I think that might be a cool way to share an OOTD or something!

So, what have I been so busy with? Well, I’ve been applying to colleges, getting ready for the holidays, and celebrating my birthday to name a few! I can’t believe this year is coming to an end. It’s crazy!

I hope everyone is enjoying this time of year, and having a blessed holiday season! XOXO

Fall

Fall is right around the corner! You know what that means..pumpkin lattes, pretty leaves, sweaters, bonfires, blankets, and..BOOTS! If there’s one thing I absolutely love about the cool weather, it’s wearing boots everywhere. Boots instantly make outfits look ten times more chic! Anyway, it’s about time we start bringing our warmer clothes to the front of our closets and pushing back the daisy dukes and tank tops. It might sound a little bittersweet, but as soon as you taste your first pumpkin muffin and wear your favorite sweater, I’m sure you’ll get over it :)

However, if you’re lacking a little inspiration this fall, I’m here to rescue your wardrobe! Below I’ve posted some pictures to give you some ideas when it comes to adorable fall style.

Back To School

Yes, it’s that time again! Summer is coming to a very quick end and school will be here soon if it hasn’t arrived for you already. I start school Monday and I just finished up shopping today! (I’m kind of a procrastinator) Unfortunately, I wear uniforms, so I didn’t buy any new clothes for school. I did, however, buy all of the other goodies. Read below to see what I’ll be wearing to school this year.

My new favorite! Givenchy Dahlia Noir. It’s a fairly light perfume. I tend to get nauseous if I wear a heavy perfume, especially in the morning, but this does not affect me in the least! I recommend you check it out the next time you’re at the mall.

I’ve adored Chanel Mademoiselle for years. I finally decided to pick up a bottle. It’s pricy, yes, but so totally worth it. It just smells classy.

I bought these at DSW. They are super adorable! I have a few pictures below of them. They are by the brand Adrienne Vittadini. You could wear these with so much, uniforms or not.

The other pair of flats I bought! These are by ...Me Too. (http://www.MeTooShoes.com) Let me first say, these are the most comfortable flats I’ve ever tried on! The sole is kind of cushion-y so they are great for school, work, or just going out! Plus, they’re super adorable.

I also ordered the TOMS Cordones in Black. I just got them in the mail tonight so I wasn’t able to get my own picture. They look exactly like they do in this above, though. I love them because my other flats are very girly, but these are kind of laid-back and casual. As girly as my style can be, I love the All-American-Tomboy look sometimes. And these, are just that. Super cute and sporty. So in love with these!

And...my backpack! It took me a while to find a bag I liked. I had my heart set on a really cute tote but I just could not find one I liked. Finally, I came across this bag at Macy’s (the brand is American Rag) and I really liked it! The picture doesn’t really do it justice but it’s the perfect slouchy, casual backpack. It’s really roomy and fits a lot, though you can’t really tell.

...A surfboard?

Oh, a USB! :) Love this.

So, I’m all set for school.. Let me know if you have any requests in the comments below! I want to try to post some more back to school things, so feel free to share any ideas! I hope everyone had/is having a wonderful summer!

XOXO

An OOTN (Outfit of the Night)!

My first outfit post! This will be pretty short & sweet, and straight to the point. This past weekend, my best friends and I went out to dinner to a pretty casual restaurant. I didn’t want to be too dressed up, yet I didn’t want to “scrub.” It can sometimes be hard to figure out what to wear in a situation like this, but I think I ended up with a good choice! The result definitely turned out as a semi-casual, girls-night-out outfit.

Top: Forever 21.
Jeans (Jeggings): Hollister
Shoes: Forever 21.
Bag: TJ Maxx!

Gotta have a close up of the shoes! Love them :)

And that’s it! What do you think? I have quite a few posts planned, so keep checking! I’ve been posting a lot more on Twitter lately, so if you’d like to follow me, you can find me at http://twitter.com/parkavenueglam :) Thanks for stopping by!

July Favorites!

So July is (unfortunately) coming to an end, and it’s time to do an end-of-the-month favorites post. This month has been very laid-back and I’ve been wearing minimal everything. (Makeup, jewelry, and yes, even clothes.) All of my favorites this month are pretty simple, everyday kind of things that I’ve really been enjoying! So here’s the break down:

Brighton Studs: I’ve wanted a pair of diamond studs for a while. My last pair were from F21 and got kind of beaten-up after a while. I had to take my senior pictures this month and I really wanted some simple jewelry, so I figured it was the perfect time to buy a pair of diamond studs. I’m so glad I decided to get these. I’ve been wearing them literally everyday. They’re such a versatile item because there isn’t one thing they don’t match. They even have cute heart details on the side! I bought these at a Brighton store for $36.00.

Evil Eye Friendship Bracelet/Anklet: I’m not quite sure why, but spiritual symbols have been quite the rage lately. I’m not complaining, I like to think of myself as quite spiritual. I’ve been seeing evil eyes, hamsas, crosses, and buddha heads everywhere! So I was quite happy when I got this. My friends went on a cruise a few weeks ago and brought this back for me! We’ve all been wearing these as anklets this month and they’re just so cute! I wish I could tell you where this is from, but I think it was from some random gift shop or shack on an island. It shouldn’t be hard to find!

Victoria’s Secret Love is Heavenly Perfume: I think I’ve found my favorite perfume. When I first smelled this perfume, I thought it was, well, heavenly.  The Victoria’s Secret website describes the scent as “A romantic blend of water lily, mandarin flower, and luminous musk. I’ve been wearing this everyday. Love it!
Get it here http://www.victoriassecret.com/beauty/fragrance/love-is-heavenly-eau-de-parfum-dream-angels?ProductID=65589&CatalogueType=OLS

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Amused: This is the first Tarte Amazonian Clay blush that I’ve tried and I must say, I’m very impressed. This blush really does stay on longer than average and the texture is very smooth. This color is the perfect bright pink. It looks very natural and you only need a tiny bit! I’ve been wearing this with mascara and bronzer for a super natural, fresh look.

Tarte Matte Waterproof Park Ave Princess Bronzer: This is my favorite bronzer ever. (And not just because of the name!) I’ve had this bronzer for a while, but since we’re in summer, I’ve been breaking it out quite often. It’s so natural because it has a matte finish and no trace of orange. It has the same idea as the Benefit Hoola bronzer. I can’t compare it though, because I’ve never tried Benefit’s Hoola bronzer. The Tarte bronzer seems to last me all day and the color is perfect. Not orange and not muddy.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara: Last but certainly not least for makeup products (I had a lot this month) is my newfound favorite mascara. This mascara is so black and really gives length and volume to my lashes. It’s just a tad clumpy, but that’s what really gives the lashes volume. I’ve tried my fair share of mascaras, but this one takes the lead so far.

For a sweet treat, I’ve been obsessed over this Chocolove Orange Peel in Dark Chocolate. It’s to die for! The dark chocolate is just so smooth and the orange peels give the chocolate a little crunch. I think even those of you who dislike dark chocolate would enjoy this. I can’t say enough about it. An extra plus: Dark chocolate is loaded with antioxidants and helps lower blood pressure when eaten in moderation! (A lot healthier than milk chocolate.) So I assure you, indulging in this is so worth it. I got mine at Whole Foods!

So that’s it for my July Favorites! I hope everyone had a great month and here’s to a wonderful August! This should be a very interesting/busy month for me, but I’ll keep you posted! You can follow me on twitter @parkavenueglam for updates and what not :) Let me know what your monthly favorites are in the comments!
